One of the biggest mistakes that aspiring entrepreneurs make is to see an opportunity and try to jump in and make money. This “opportunity seeking” mindset will almost always lead to frustration, wasted time and poverty. You can find the opportunity seekers by observing people jumping into affiliate programs and multi-level marketing “opportunities” which are profitable for a very small percentage of people and a disappointment for most.
Furthermore, there is a huge opportunity cost because while an entrepreneur could be spending valuable time building a business that directly relates to their strengths, they are off chasing a dream in the hope of making some quick money.
This is ultimately a flaw in their thinking. The only long term solution to making money in business is to work in a business that is closely related to your strengths—your personality, passion, interests, experiences, education and skills.

What are your strengths? Start by going back to your personality tests. What conclusions did you take away?
Where do your interests lay? Think of the hobbies you have or the books you like to read? When you are surfing the Internet, what topics normally attract your attention and cause you to investigate further?
What is your education? If you like to study business and entrepreneurship, then you’re on the right track. If you also like biology, then you may still find a dynamic combination because biology and technology is combining to engineer some fantastic solutions for humanity.
What is your passion? When you lay in your bed at night, what fuels your dreams? As a Kingdom Entrepreneur with a heart and a skill for education and training, think how foolish it would be for me to enter the world of beauty products and start to try to gain an advantage over a million other marketers who are attempting the same thing.
